Watson Lake (Blue)
Watson Lake is a man made reservoir in Granite Dells. It is distinguished by its natural beauty, sky blue calm waters, and surrounded by huge granite boulders which have been dated as 1.4 billion years old.
The lake, only four milrs from Prescott, covers 380 acres and was formed in the early 1900s when a dam was built on Granite Creek.
The Peavine Trail runs along the southeastern side of the lake into the scenic Granite Dells region. The trail is level and easy and caters to hikers, joggers, horseback riding and bicycling. Peavine runs into Iron King Trail and runs about \ 4 miles toward Prescott Valley. 1
